ITERG (French Institute for Fats and Oils) is a technical research centre for businesses in the fats and oils industry: producers, converters and processors of vegetable and animal fats. The purpose of the Institute is to contribute towards scientific and technical progress, improve the quality and development of processes in the fats and oils industry, while incorporating sustainable development principles. This work is supplemented by technological transfer actions and the circulation of results of research to industrial partners.
Its pivotal positioning between the research and corporate worlds enables ITERG to be resourced both upstream from academic research and downstream from manufacturers, its principal customers.
These manufacturers are from the fats and oils sector and more generally speaking from all industries that are users of fats: foodstuffs, cosmetics, animal feed, chemicals, etc…
