Iterg is involved in a wide variety of specific activities that revolve around 4 general mission objectives:
improving food quality and safety for products from our sector,
researching lipid-metabolism characteristics linked to serious public health issues,
moving towards sustainable development by promoting equipment safety and process and product biocompatibility in our sector,
facilitating innovation and the transfer of knowledge and technology in particular for small and medium-sized businesses and industries.
The importance of recognised skills and expertise in these different fields reinforces Iterg’s will to establish itself as an independent technical reference centre capable not only of anticipating and preventing crisis situations but also of implementing effective crisis management.
In parallel with its public-interest missions Iterg leverages skills acquired through research activities to offer strictly confidential made-to-measure private-service contracts to oil and fat-consumer industries (agribusiness, supermarket chains, animal feed sector, cosmetics, chemical industry, etc.).
